When the Storm Settles: Separating Hail and Wind Damage From Roofing Deception Webinar (2 CE Hours)

Wednesday, July 15 at 2 PM ET

Wind- and hail-related asphalt roof damage claims are common after storms sweep through a neighborhood. Learn what potential misrepresentation looks like across the property claim life cycle and how to differentiate legitimate roof-related losses from manufactured damage.

Register for the When the Storm Settles: Separating Hail and Wind Damage From Roofing Deception webinar, which takes place on Wednesday, July 15, at 2 PM ET. The two-hour course is eligible for two hours of CE credit.

Alpine Intel Technical Education Trainer Kevin Huelsman and VRC Investigations Vice President of SIU Compliance and CE Programs Curtis Whitfill, CFE, CIFI, will lead the presentation and cover:

  • The advantages and vulnerabilities of asphalt shingles, including common indicators of hail and wind damage
  • Types of possible fraud that could occur in roof claims, such as inflated repair estimates, scope creep, or intentional damage to shingles
  • How weather data and expert investigations can give adjuster’s clarity on questionable claims

They’ll also discuss several case studies to show what potentially fraudulent or unethical tactics might look like in property claims and how to combat them.

By participating throughout, you’re eligible for two hours of adjuster CE credit in AL, FL, GA, IN, KY, LA, MS, NC, NH, NM, OK, TX, WV, and WY. There will be a short intermission about halfway through the session. Partial CE credit for attending only one hour of the course cannot be issued.

It also qualifies for CE credit for California Workers’ Compensation (post-designation) and for CIFI and CFE designation holders. Attendees will receive links to the certificates after the webinar.
