HVACi and StrikeCheck 2025 Annual Claims Reports
New claims data from HVACi and StrikeCheck highlights where HVAC and electronics claim decisions in 2026 may be affected when cause of loss and scope of damage are not fully validated.
When supported by objective assessments, residential and commercial insurance claim outcomes may include fewer unnecessary replacements, lower claim severity, and reduced reopens or disputes, helping limit unnecessary claims leakage.

The 2025 data highlights several trends:
- At least 30% of evaluated dishwashers, dryers, refrigerators, and washers in appliance claims were functioning properly at the time of assessment.
- 27% of lightning reports had no lightning found.
- 1 in 5 HVAC and refrigeration systems was in proper working condition at the time of HVACi’s evaluation.
- 50% of systems with verified damage were recommended for repair.
The HVACi and StrikeCheck 2025 annual claims reports include data about misreported causes of loss, unnecessary replacements, and inaccurate parts and labor costs, all of which may contribute to a carrier’s claims leakage. Adjusters who incorporate objective expert testing may be better equipped to make informed decisions without slowing down cycle times.
The reports illustrate trends that impacted insurance carriers last year and will still affect claims in 2026. Use the executive summaries and key insights, along with the graphs, to see where there is the most risk with these property claims.
